How a message gets to Sam, and not to snoopers

Where is our information stored?
On our secure servers, stored encrypted. With Enterprise you can also choose your own servers, so it never leaves your estate, or a private platform we run just for you.
Can anyone read it on the way or on the server?
No. Messages and files are encrypted with AES-256 in the sender's browser before they're uploaded, so the server only ever holds scrambled data.
How do you stop it going to the wrong person?
Every recipient confirms who they are with a one-time code before anything opens, and staff are warned when sensitive information is going to a personal email address.
How long is information kept?
You choose how long each message stays available, from 1 to 60 days. After that the link stops working. Admins can also set storage limits for each person.
Can we prove what was sent and opened?
Yes. Every message keeps a record of who sent it and when it was opened, replied to or signed, and you can export proof for audits, complaints and information requests.
What about personal data in attachments?
Before anything is sent, attachments are read in the browser and personal details such as National Insurance numbers are flagged, following your organisation's rules. Card numbers can be blocked altogether.
Do the people we send to need an account?
No. Residents, families and partners open a secure link in any browser and confirm their code. There's nothing to install.
How do our staff sign in?
However suits your organisation: Microsoft, Google or Apple accounts, your own single sign-on, or a password with an emailed code. Admins get extra checks. You decide who's an admin and can switch people on or off.
